Warranty Information

Most products sold by Water Pumps Direct are backed by a manufacturer’s warranty. This page outlines how warranties apply to your purchases through us. Please also see our Terms and Conditions and Returns and Refunds.

Manufacturer Warranties

Each manufacturer provides its own warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship for a set period of time. These warranties are offered by the manufacturer, not Water Pumps Direct, although we will help you access them if needed.

Manufacturers generally have their own authorised service centres and technicians who can assess your product, confirm whether a fault exists, and arrange repair or replacement where appropriate. Their contact details and warranty procedures are usually included in the product manual or packaging.

Need Assistance?

If you would like Water Pumps Direct to assist with a warranty claim, we will liaise with the manufacturer on your behalf. Please note:

  • The customer must make themselves contactable by the manufacturer to discuss the issue, and/or make reasonable effort to speak with them directly.
  • The manufacturer may need to confirm details of the fault, and will often first want to ensure the issue is not related to installation or usage outside the supplied instructions.
  • Each product has its own specifications and requirements, and the manufacturer’s guidelines must be followed.

What’s Covered

Manufacturer warranties typically cover:

  • manufacturing faults,
  • defects in materials, and
  • failures that occur under normal operation and correct installation.

What’s Not Covered

Warranties generally do not cover:

  • incorrect installation, operation, or maintenance,
  • damage caused by misuse, neglect, or modification,
  • normal wear and tear, or
  • consumables (e.g. seals, filters, gaskets) unless otherwise stated.

Refer to the warranty statement provided with your product for complete details.

Proof of Purchase

A valid proof of purchase (such as your Water Pumps Direct Tax Invoice) is required to make a warranty claim. Without proof of purchase, neither we nor the manufacturer will be able to process your claim.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

  1. Check your product manual or warranty card for the manufacturer’s warranty details.
  2. Contact the manufacturer or their authorised service centre directly — this is usually the fastest way to resolve the issue.
  3. If you would like us to assist, contact Water Pumps Direct with your proof of purchase and details of the fault (photos help).
  4. We will liaise with the manufacturer and let you know the next steps. In some cases, the product may need to be returned for inspection.
